Do you want to build a better SMU? A SMU with more engaged students, enhanced facilities and a responsible student government? My name is Kerry O’Rourke and so do I. That’s why I am running for the Board of Directors. With your help, if elected, together we can and will build a better SMU! We can do this together with the introduction of the new SMUSA model on its way for next year. This new model brings many wonderful changes. I have several ideas I believe should be brought to light for your benefit through this new platform. Under the new government I would work tirelessly on your behalf to ensure accountability and renewed efficiency. Secondly I would seek to establish a communications chair within SMUSA in order to enhance contact with the student body at large. SMU students I believe would benefit greatly from enhanced student facilities. Therefore I would like to see the establishment of a huskies lounge in the SUB for students. Finally I’d like to enhance the residence experience by helping to establish more events for the residence community. If I am elected together we will build a better SMU!
