Dear Student 

My name is Alwyn Gomez, I am a second year engineering and chemistry student here at St. Mary’s and I am currently the engineering rep. on the SMUSA Student Representative Council. I first came to St. Mary’s with the intention of doing a two year diploma in engineering and then moving on to complete my bachelor of engineering. However, I realized that I really enjoyed the quality of teaching and the atmosphere created by the students and faculty of St. Mary’s and after my first year I decided that I would stay and pursue a degree in Chemistry as well. I have enjoyed my past two years here at St. Mary’s but I see that there is still a lot of potential for this university and the student association. This is why it would be an honour and my pleasure to represent you and the rest of the student body on the SMUSA Board of Directors.
