SMUSA President Matt Anderson IMPEACHED

Recently re-elected SMUSA President Matt Anderson was impeached Friday night in a unanimous vote by the Board of Directors. Unlike most decisions there was no discussion by the Board as to whether Anderson was fit to continue as president. Several concerns had been brought to the Board's attention in the past but it was the culmination of fears that led to the end of his presidency before completing a full term.

Students Escape from SMU Jail

In the basement of McNally East, below “The Den” is a dark place the SMU Authorities have been hiding from students until now. Over the weekend a sleeping guard allowed 87 students to escape from the dingy basement prison and tell their story.

The Burke Building Gets a Facelift

After over a decade of being the most miserable building on campus SMU has finally announced plans for renovation of the Burke Building. Construction is set to begin immediately following the end of the exam period this year.

The Dockside Becomes the Gorsebrook 2.0

After the flop that was The Dockside Cafeteria's “all you care to eat” plan, with its high expenses for small portions, Aramark has decided to change things up at The Dockside for September of 2010. Along with renovations there will be a name change to The Gorsebrook 2.0
