ANSSA was founded in 2004 and currently represents more than 35,000 students at five post-secondary institutions in Nova Scotia.

Over $10,000 Raised for HaitiKimberley DaresSMUSA's fundraising campaign for the Red Cross Efforts in Haiti wrapped up last Friday. The month long campaign raised $10,834 including the funds matched by SMUSA and SMU. Donations from students, faculty and staff were collected in donation boxes around campus and at SMUSA events including Open Mic. Fundraising efforts by Residence, Athletics, Facilities Management and individual societies also contributed to the success of the campaign. SMUSA contributed $1000, and Saint Mary's matched $5000 in donations. The $10,834 will be matched by the Canadian Government bringing the total contribution from the Saint Mary's University community up to $22,668. |
