After weeks of drama the SMUSA voting days are finally upon us. This is a chance to have your say in what happens at Saint Mary's next year. SMUSA elections typically have a very low voter turnout—why not try and change that this year?

SMUSA's fundraising campaign for the Red Cross Efforts in Haiti wrapped up last Friday. The month long campaign raised $10,834 including the funds matched by SMUSA and SMU. Donations from students, faculty and staff were collected in donation boxes around campus and at SMUSA events including Open Mic. Fundraising efforts by Residence, Athletics, Facilities Management and individual societies also contributed to the success of the campaign. SMUSA contributed $1000, and Saint Mary's matched $5000 in donations. The $10,834 will be matched by the Canadian Government bringing the total contribution from the Saint Mary's University community up to $22,668.
