Saint Mary’s Hosts Berlin Wall Conference

Kimberley Dares

Saint Mary’s University has launched a two week long conference known as The Wall’s Echo. The presentations are looking at the significance of the Berlin Wall, and the impact it had on the lives of those living near it before, during and after the Wall’s fall. Although the events have already begun it is not too late to attend if you are interested, presentations and lectures will continue until November 9th. It has been 20 years since the wall came down and to commemorate this historic event, in addition to the presentations, SMU has borrowed two of the six pieces of the wall normally on display in Truro. They are currently in the parking lot outside of the McNally building to help provide context to the conference.
