SMU Gets a New LookKimberley Dares with files from Alex ClarkeThe oldest building on campus is getting a well-deserved makeover. The nearly sixty year old McNally building was named in honour of the Archbishop John T. McNally who supervised the construction of the building over a three year span from 1949 to 1952. The building is built on land that was once the estate of a famous 19th century Haligonian merchant Enos Collins.
Frosh week recap - Sex with Sue!Alex ClarkeIf you weren’t able to come out and enjoy last week’s events, you have no idea what you were missing. The SMUSA organization put together a spectacular week with a wide variety of guests and interactive games.
Adam GroweAlex ClarkeAmong the many guests that were happy to come into the University last week was the rising star of Canada’s own Cash Cab, Adam Growe. Adam is a comedian who was raised in Vancouver and he has been performing professionally on radio, television and stage for almost 20 years.
Damian the HypnotistAlex ClarkeFrosh week had a great cap off with Damian the hypnotist having a huge attendance of over 1000 people. The show was well organized by SMUSA and sponsored by Vitamin water, who offered free refreshments for the entire audience. It took 20 minutes longer than expected for the students to be seated because of the large amount of people that came, and extra chairs had to be provided.

Staying Safe: Prevent Being PeepedKimberley DaresThis past weekend there was another reported “peeping tom” incident in Halifax’s south end. A female awoke in the early morning hours to find a man standing over her bed watching her sleep. When she awoke the watcher fled and the victim called the police.
Huskies and Capers Kick off SeasonJason MacDonaldThe men's and women's soccer teams played their home openers this weekend, taking on the CBU Capers under the overcast skies at Huskies stadium.
